I know exactly how it feels to have thoughts that you aren’t good enough. Growing up, I was often teased and kept to myself to avoid the teasing, but that didn’t stop my negative thoughts. In my college years, it seemed I didn’t fit in with “in” group. Although I had friends, I always felt a certain something, and that something was that I was different. At one point, as an adult, I had grand dreams and ideas, but the minute an obstacle would arise or I didn’t get the outcome I desired, I would give up. Thankfully, my story doesn’t end there. I began to take the necessary steps to believe in myself. I gained the confidence to persevere in the midst of trials, and those projects, relationships, and business ventures I once dreamed of began to flourish.
I want to do the same for you – the purpose-driven, faith walking, ambitious, goal-setting woman that you are. Together we will develop strategies to help you understand your value, identify roadblocks to fulfilling your dreams, and release your internal creative resources to fulfill your destiny.
My mission is to invoke a new way of thinking that brings an everlasting shift in your mindset as you embrace internal power and create a new life and self-image.
My programs are designed to bring you into complete alignment – spirit, soul, and body – providing a holistic approach in each coaching session. In 2002, I opened From the Heart to You Catering, where I pride myself on providing a divine catering experience for clientele in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
In 2014, I birthed Come Up Higher Ministries, whose mission is simple: Teach people to live victoriously in every aspect of their life, based on 1 John 5:4: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
In 2019, I unveiled Up Higher Apparel, an online clothing store where our theme is “wear the word to share the word.” The store initially started with faith-based t-shirts and has expanded to women’s clothing and accessories for men and women. I believe fashion is an outward expression of who you are, and my ministry focuses on helping people know whom they are in Christ while remaining authentic.
I’m a self-proclaimed creative of God wearing many hats – counselor, coach, author, and mentor in the areas of prayer, purpose, and relationships; wife, mother, grandmother, chef, fashionista, and spirit-driven entrepreneur. I’ve shared my Godly passion at a range of forums – leading women’s conferences, hosting prayer events, speaking at relationship conferences, and spearheading conference calls and prayer lines – and I take great pride in sharing my wisdom with others. I enjoy vacationing with my husband, thrift and consignment store shopping, and a good weekend brunch with the girls.
I am a certified ordained minister, graduating from World Missions Ministries International University, then ordained as Pastor of the Women’s Ministry and Intercessory Prayer Team (2011). I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business and Fashion Merchandising from Stephens College.
I am a multi-faceted believer who glorifies God through every endeavor. From ministry to coaching to fashion to catering services, my clientele spans across people of all walks of life, and I look forward to connecting with you, too!
